Paragliding:  Paragliding is an adventure activity is an art of light weight free flying from higher altitude towards lower altitude.  Through a skilful paragliding thousands of kilometres can be covered within a span of an hour or two.

There are top 11 places in India where tandem and solo paragliding is done.  Bir Billing near Dharamshala, Sikkim, Kunjapurri and Bendi Bugyal in Uttarakhand, Pavana in Maharashtra, Nandi Hills in Bangalore, Yelagiri in Tamilnadu, Shillong in Meghalaya, Arambol Beach in Goa, Aravalli Hills in Rajasthan and Satpura range in Gujrat.

And we are glad to provide you with paragliding activity at Billing from an altitude of 8000 feet to Bir at an altitude of 4000 feet. Long and short both types of flights are available at Bir-Billing. Long flights can go up to 1 hour which almost cover a distance of more than 500km up and down depending on weather conditions. Short flights are of 15 to 20 min covering a distance of 200km up and down throughout the valley.

Bir Billing valley is covered with smoky mountains of Dhaulandhar range on its back. Bir Billing is a very famous paragliding site in Himachal Pradesh among Indians and Foreigners. It is also known for its cross country paragliding flights. Billing valley offers a best launching destination for paragliding and so it is internationally famous for its aerospace activity. It has hosted Paragliding world cup event in 2015. Many seasoned pilots come here for pre world cup practice every year from all over the world.  Paragliding in Billing is famous for its best panoramic view of green meadow of Kangra valley below and a smoky range of Dhaulandhar at sides. Tandem and solo both types of paragliding can be done in Billing with special skills. Our coach/Guide will take care of all the safety measures during paragliding.

Bir gives a spectacular view of Tea Gardens all around and Massive smoky mountain range of Dhalaundhar above. It is also famous for its Tibetans Monastery and Buddhist culture. Bir is also known for its highest rainfall after Cherrapunji during monsoons and hence Tea Gardens are cultivated here. A virgin Hill station Palampur is just located near Bill at a distance of 30km.  Palampur is called as Green Hill station due to abundant of water coming from snowy mountains and lots of green vegetation.

A fun and Adventure part here is an UNFORGETABLE Journey of a local toy train transport to Bir from Pathankoth via Palampur which takes you from the tea gardens and meadows valley.

Bir to Billing route is one of the most beautiful routes in Kangra Valley of just 14km situated at a distance of 9500feet from Mean Sea Level. Up to Bir You can travel by any vehicle from Dharamshala, Palampur, Pathankoth, Manali, Delhi, and Chandigarh.  But the Distance from Bir to Billing can be covered only via any solid4x4 vehicle or Jeep or by foot.  Bir to Billing route is actually a hard rock which was cut in 1962.  Bir billing trek is also very famous tourist attraction.

Billing valley is a venture of many adventures activities like Trekking, hiking, paragliding and is based in Mcleodganj, Dharamshala, and Himachal Pradesh.  Trek to Triund & snowline, Trek to Kullu via Sari pass, Trek to Chamba valley, Trek to Bara Bhangal and many more. A hiking of a day or two with camping in Triund is an amazing experience altogether along with paragliding.

Best Time to Visit:

Paragliding is possible throughout the year except for monsoons which are from early June to late September. All other months are just perfect for paragliding. To have Feel of longer flights you musts visit between March to June.
